My art practice brings together my curiosity in how we see the world, nature, art history, and Buddhism. Early in my artistic life, I noticed that every part of a painting depends on something else to define its qualities. A leaf has no form unless you paint the space that holds it. Color is entirely relational. Every element depends on other elements to determine its characteristics. For me, painting is an investigation and meditation on our interdependent, mutually forming, always connected world.
